Frances Chamberlin, OCDS, Seminar on Divine Trust
The WINGS, a Women’s prayer group from a parish in California, requested PCM’s Frances Chamberlin to give the PCM Zoom Seminar on ‘Divine Trust’ with a Lenten theme. On March 25, 2021, thirty-five women of all ages participated in the seminar with Frances. Following Frances’ talk, there were group break-out sessions with questions. One question that provoked much lively conversation was “God has given us all thorns in our lives. Why don’t we let God just take care of them?” Frances’ seminar was warmly received.

Vienna, VA-July 25, 2016- PCM Press is proud to announce the launch of a brand new book (August 2016) ...And So We Pray, Supporting Young Adults Through the College Years, with Foreword by Father Scalia. The book was written to help women draw peace and consolation from God as their children go off to college. It weaves sound Catholic doctrine with real-life stories shared by women of faith who have experienced the transition from hectic family life to empty nesting and everything in between. Moms will find meaningful help facing issues like homesickness, college "dating", and changing family dynamics, and much more. Each chapter ends with a prayer, questions for reflection, and a prayer practice, as well as four relevant verses of Scripture for deeper meditation. And So We Pray provides the ultimate tool: prayer. It is a guide, a journal, and the perfect prayer companion.
And So We Pray is the first in a series for PCM Press. "Our goal is to provide the reader with a new book each Fall, for at least the next three to four years, and keep the book fluid, so that it is always topical and current," says PCM founder Laurel Howanitz.
Praying College Moms small groups support each other in prayer and friendship and will meet during the school year to explore themes from one chapter of the new book each month.

The transition to college is not always easy for students and their mothers, says a parishioner at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Vienna, Va.
To address this challenge, Laurel Howanitz formed a group of mothers who pray for their college-age children and offer support with parishioners at other churches forming similar groups. Read the articles here:
